My experience in Rara Lake trek

Danphe Lagna has more snow  so I round the circular trail to the Rara Lake. Long bus drive from Kathmandu , even they said it took 27 days but In kalikot after   6 pm no allowed by the local  government to drive a bus so most of the time during the night passenger obliged to stay in the bus. So, one day, two nights and one morning passenger stay in the bus. Luckily our driver success the drive to kalikot before 6 pm so we had chances to go Jumla next day. To visit and see Rara Lake , explore the itinerary ,trail was my dream.

Why I go Rara Lake myself?

I used to see the map of the Rara Lake and see the itinerary by the google searching  but my passion was not fulfilled. I already involved tourism in Nepal for 16 years. I frequently heard about the Rara lake trek. Only from the study without visit Rara Lake I was not confidence and satisfied. I used to think when time will be favorable to go Rara Lake and my Rara lake vision of travel transfer imagination to reality.  Travel in new place is the mantra of my life and my philosophy. Similarly it is the property of the travel business person. This feeling become stronger and stronger then I decided to visit Rara Lake myself. I realized attachment with local people around Rara lake help to know inner perspective of the areas and culture. As iam local travellers who is going to Rara lake trek for the guidnece perspective of the future trekkers and travellers , It will be cheaper for me in that reason. I have not pay the Rara national park entry fee and I can stay the local home stay lodges and travel by bus.

I meet the people in the Bus

Since I riding the bus , the passenger surrounding me asked where to go. I just replied them to go Jumla for travel. I guessed some are Government workers others are involved in some project in Rural areas in Jumla , Kalikot, Humla and Mugu. By the end of the journey most of the my guess become right. People who sit beside my seat was from Sinja village. Sinja is the capital of the Nepalese language or birth place of the Nepali language. He was very helpful guy  and explain about the way to go Rara Lake. He was back from the india after selling the woolen clothes’ of the winter. In the 5 pm we reached the kalikot Bazzar and he tell the way or bus road to the jumla. According to him , I agree to get down in Nagma for going to Rara lake via Sinja. From Kalikot it began to rain so it is more probability to fall the snow. I got down in Nagma in the night. Tomorrow morning to evening again snow. Even I ride bus to jumla it is stop 15 km ahead from jumla. I obliged to stay one night there. Next morning I reached in jumla Bazzar. It is like a valley and touches by the modernization. Jumla is the more fertile places for the crops.

In Jumla

People were  snow playing there. I amuse there with the people and look around the jumla bazzar. I meet the people of Rara lake in the local hotel in Jumla. They were also plan to go Rara lake tomorrow and agree to go together with me. Like a color festival , town of the jumla from child to adult were playing the snow. I see and look around jumla airport to market every where in the street were a newly snow. People were told there is first snow fall since 1 year. I meet two journalist in Jumla bazzar at the tea shop. I introduced with them and inform about my planning to go Rara Lake. People were surprising  at the time of the snow local travellers like to go Rara Lake. In joking mood I request the journalist published my plan and attitude at the situation to go Rara lake. They also laughing with humor. Because of my light bagpack I did not search the hotel, then afternoon I asked the journalist who work in Kantiopur news and Nagarik news about the good hotel. They recommend  Hotel Mansarovar in jumla. In Hotel mostly sit poltical parties leaders , contractor and other travellers. So , Hotel price was also expensive than other Hotel. I choice another hotel then called visit jumla.

I walked with Locals Jumla to Choutha

Early in the morning I go to the local hotel where people yesterday planned living early in the morning to Choutha from Jumla. So wake up early in the morning and knock the local people hotel. Then, they planned to go another ways instead of the huge ice in Daniphe lek. There are long and straight road  and reached the Danphe langna after walking 5 hours from Jumla bazzar. Near the jumla bazzar there are another trail to Dhunai dolpho and phoksundo Separate. In Danphe lagna there was Hotel  and we are spent two hours time by eating and talk with local. Then down to Nawrighat it takes one and half an hours with snow sloop along the forest. Then I stay one night in kavara one hours ahead of Choutha.

Choutha to Hutu(Jhari)

Local Name of the hutu was Jhari which is just 2 hours down from the Rara lake. I reached the Choutha  then walking 1 hours to Bhulbhule. After Bhulbhule there are Rara national park check post by the Nepalese soldiers. Then climb up to Ghouchu lek then down to the Hutu. I reached in the Evening time. Then I decided to stay there.

Jhari to Rara lake then Talcha

It was long days for me. Looking around the Rara lake and amuse the food in the Danphe hotel besides the lakes. Then seeing the views of the Rara lake I down to the Talcha in the Evening.

I see helicopter rounding around the Rara Lake then stop near the Hotel Danphe at Rara Lake. Then fly back after half an hours. I heard two tourist and one guide was in the helicopter and for the pick up them , it came from Kathmandu. From my smart phone I was busy to take a picture of the Rara Lake and it waves. In the water water Duck swimming very calmly. I feel somewhere it it is the beach of the ocean. Again another helicopter rounding the Rara Lake I take its picture and video. I half circuit in the Rara lake then I out to the Talcha. Single room cost Rs. 1000 NPR for the Rara lake Hotel called Danphe. I stayed the Hotel Basanta at the Talcha airport
